Marketing Mix - Product

PRODUCT:
The name of our company product is called Peruvian Nativas. They are potatoes imported from Peru to our factory in Las Vegas, and from there they are peeled and thinly sliced to provide the perfect crunch after the baking process. The potatoes are lightly coated with all natural coconut oil and seasoned with organic sea salt and other secret ingredients (which will not be disclosed) before going into the oven. All of our ingredients are FDA approved, and do not contain any GMO’s. The factory is also privately owned therefore there is no cross contamination. Peruvian Nativas are a healthy snack that although they are focused primarily as a bar food, they can still be good for all occasions such as packing school lunches or for football parties at home. After Peruvian Nativas have been exposed to the public for over a year, we do plan on distributing to super markets and expanding our product to large corporations nationwide to provide us with continuous financial success. Peruvian Nativas are a healthy but economically affordable snack that are being set up to affluently prosper.

Target Market Strategy

"We define marketing management as the art and science of choosing target markets and building profitable relationships with them. The marketing manager’s aim is to find, attract, keep, and grow target customers by creating, delivering, and communicating superior customer value."

The Snacks with Stylz Company is dedicated to providing an inexpensive alternative to people mainly between the ages of 21-45 who enjoy going out to bars frequently, and are looking to save money while having a good time. Unlike normal bar food where it’s only priced at an okay cost during happy hours, Peruvian Nativas are conveniently the same low price of $1.99 for a full snack size bag 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Snacks with Stylz uses it’s organic, low-cost product to reel in customers by providing them with a healthy but affordable snack. By making the price of the chips more than a normal bag of Lays but very cheap in comparison to other bar food, it will have a profitable growth. Also because the quality of the chips is better and healthier than an average bag of chips this will help with customer retention and help maintain a steady increasing financial incline. Lastly, because Snacks with Stylz has chosen to locate in Las Vegas, where there are hundreds of bars opening up every year, whether it be in restaurants or independently owned, it will never run out of opportunities to increase its distribution and income.

"To design a winning marketing strategy, the marketing manager must answer two important questions: What customers will we serve (what’s our target market)? and How can we serve these customers best (what’s our value proposition)? We will discuss these marketing strategy concepts briefly here, and then look at them in more detail in the next chapter."

Week 7 - EOC - Pitch & Adventutre

In Phileas Fogg’s latest adventure, I decided to travel to South America to visit the mysterious ruins and temples of Machu Picchu in search of a new delectable snack to compliment the enormous amount alcohol I drank. Now before I continue, I have to admit I may or may not have become a raging alcoholic. You see, my journey begun back in the United States of America in early 2013 when I met a young women by the name of Melissa Suzanne. Little did I know I was going to fall head over heels in love for her. We spent every waking moment together. Spending countless hours alone, secluded from the world. On the rare occasion, you caught them not in a deep embrace or gazing endlessly into each others eyes, you can be sure they were to be side by side, holding hands or arms locked. Nothing else in the world mattered; in fact, they were each other’s world. If they were to be separated even for just a day. They would grow anxious and agitated, but just how everything else in the world begins to fade, so did their love.  She would then lose interest in Phileas and return to her ex boyfriend, driving him to unfathomable depths and turning him into an alcoholic.

Week 4 - EOC - Consumer & Business Buyer Behavior

When it comes to understanding the consumer buying market, you first need to understand why consumers make the purchases they make, what factors influence the customers purchase and the changing factors in society. The consumer buyers behavior is influenced by four major factors; Cultural, social, personal, and psychological. These four factors cause the consumer to develop a brand preference. Though, understanding the impact marketers create is crucial, it still can’t directly control the factors.
When buying new products, the consumer subconsciously enters into a decision making process, which consists of fives stages. Stage 1 is problem recognition. Stage 2 is information search. Stage 3 is the evaluation of alternatives. Stage 4 is the purchase decision and finally, number 5 is post purchase behavior.

·                   Now, when it comes to business buying, the decision process is a bit different, but is still a five step process. At each stage the decision process is susceptible to change depending on the cost and as well the strategic importance of the purchase. The process begins by identifying the problem. It may be to restock inventory or to replace a malfunctioning machine. The second step is to develop product specifications to solve the problem. Buying center participants assess problem and need to determine what is necessary to resolve it. Step 3 is to search and evaluate possible products and suppliers. Step 4, select the suppliers, and step 5 is to evaluate the product and supplier performance
