Business Mission Statement

“A mission statement is a statement of the organization’s purpose—what it wants to accomplish in the larger environment. A clear mission statement acts as an “invisible hand” that guides people in the organization.”

Our mission is to work all of your senses with our Peruvian Nativas. We want you to SEE the faultlessly seasoned and baked chips and make your tongue water. As soon as you open the bag, the scent will have every neuron inside your nostrils explode with a tangy SMELL of the perfect potato and spice mixture. Once you reach inside to take hold of a delicious chip we want you to FEEL the soft, yet crunchy goodness in between your fingers. By the time you grab a hold of one of these tasty snacks, you will already have a blissful TASTE completely overtaking every taste bud sensor. You won’t be able to help yourself but to eat more.

“Each company must find the game plan for long-run survival and growth that makes the most sense given its specific situation, opportunities, objectives, and resources. This is the focus of strategic planning—the process of developing and maintaining a strategic fit between the organization’s goals and capabilities and its changing marketing opportunities.”

Week 10: Unique Value Proposition

We already know you can't just eat one, but why would you want to anyway?

Marketing Mix - Price

"Price is the amount of money charged for a product or service. More broadly, price is the sum of all the values that customers give up in order to gain the benefits of having or using a product or service."

“In positioning its product, the company first identifies possible customer value differences that provide competitive advantages upon which to build the position. The company can offer greater customer value either by charging lower prices than competitors, or by offering more benefits to justify higher prices.”

To obtain these delectable, tasty, mouthwatering Peruvian Nativas. You will only have to fork over $1.99 before you can stark forking these chips down your to your belly. The average price for any food purchased at a bar, even during happy hour is $6.00! So we have cut more than 50% solely for your benefit! “A company can always increase customer satisfaction by lowering its price or increasing its services. But this may result in lower profits.” Now you can enjoy a great snack to compliment your alcoholic urge while staying thrifty. And just because the price is so low, don’t be so quick to pass judgment. If you weren’t already aware, Peru is known to produced the best quality potatoes across the world. They also have the largest potatoes crops in the western hemisphere. So we have nearly an endless supply to provide for our customers. Along with being the best quality chip and being financially appealing. We have invented a way to cook the chips to give off a briny organic taste without having to add any of those horrible chemicals you can find in most of the other popular brand name chips. Here, you are provided with the absolute best of the best.

“The major marketing mix tools are classified into four broad groups, called the four Ps of marketing: product, price, place, and promotion. To deliver on its value proposition, the firm must first create a need-satisfying market offering (product).”

Marketing Mix - Promotion

"Sales promotion involves using short-term incentives to encourage customer purchasing, reseller support, and sales force efforts"

Snacks with Stylz has carefully thought up a few promotions for their product to retain their customers, and keep their competitors away. Usually men go to bars and they take a date with them and end up paying for all their drinks in order to look like gentlemen. By the end of the night next thing they know they’ve spent over one hundred dollars on food and drinks combined, which is a lot of money for one night and only a first impression. This is where Peruvian Nativas comes in clutch because we offer two bags for $2.99. Now a man can take his date out without spending over thirty dollars on food. Instead he will actually end up saving money and but still making a lasting impression. Another promotion they’ve thought up is a sweepstake. On the back of each bag of Peruvian Nativas there is a bar code that you can scan which will lead you directly to our website. Every time you buy a bag of our product you enter into chance to meet a world-renowned DJ and our very own sponsor Tiesto!

Marketing Mix - Distribution

Snacks with Stylz (SWS) is based out of Las Vegas. Distribution is smooth for the simple reason that our headquarters are based on the south side of the city. Next to the 215 freeway for easy access to all other major highways and roadways. We made sure home base wasn’t located too far from any of our clients for assurance of timely deliveries.
To test the waters of how much we plan to distribute to each vendor. We have set a specific amount of product to each location to measure what sort of load they can each handle. Since the bars on the strip have a higher output rate, we have provided them with a larger quantity of Peruvian Nativas.

Marketing Mix - Product

PRODUCT:
The name of our company product is called Peruvian Nativas. They are potatoes imported from Peru to our factory in Las Vegas, and from there they are peeled and thinly sliced to provide the perfect crunch after the baking process. The potatoes are lightly coated with all natural coconut oil and seasoned with organic sea salt and other secret ingredients (which will not be disclosed) before going into the oven. All of our ingredients are FDA approved, and do not contain any GMO’s. The factory is also privately owned therefore there is no cross contamination. Peruvian Nativas are a healthy snack that although they are focused primarily as a bar food, they can still be good for all occasions such as packing school lunches or for football parties at home. After Peruvian Nativas have been exposed to the public for over a year, we do plan on distributing to super markets and expanding our product to large corporations nationwide to provide us with continuous financial success. Peruvian Nativas are a healthy but economically affordable snack that are being set up to affluently prosper.

Target Market Strategy

"We define marketing management as the art and science of choosing target markets and building profitable relationships with them. The marketing manager’s aim is to find, attract, keep, and grow target customers by creating, delivering, and communicating superior customer value."

The Snacks with Stylz Company is dedicated to providing an inexpensive alternative to people mainly between the ages of 21-45 who enjoy going out to bars frequently, and are looking to save money while having a good time. Unlike normal bar food where it’s only priced at an okay cost during happy hours, Peruvian Nativas are conveniently the same low price of $1.99 for a full snack size bag 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Snacks with Stylz uses it’s organic, low-cost product to reel in customers by providing them with a healthy but affordable snack. By making the price of the chips more than a normal bag of Lays but very cheap in comparison to other bar food, it will have a profitable growth. Also because the quality of the chips is better and healthier than an average bag of chips this will help with customer retention and help maintain a steady increasing financial incline. Lastly, because Snacks with Stylz has chosen to locate in Las Vegas, where there are hundreds of bars opening up every year, whether it be in restaurants or independently owned, it will never run out of opportunities to increase its distribution and income.

"To design a winning marketing strategy, the marketing manager must answer two important questions: What customers will we serve (what’s our target market)? and How can we serve these customers best (what’s our value proposition)? We will discuss these marketing strategy concepts briefly here, and then look at them in more detail in the next chapter."
